Limited Edition MMD #1

So, we've been fielding a lot of emails about the logistics of this deck.  How does it work?  How do you play it?  What exactly is a comic deck?  And so on...so De'vo the creator and writer does a short demonstration about the deck.  Again, amazing concept, and it's done on the same stock as the rest of De'vo's decks.  It's easy to shuffle, manipulate and fan.  It's a very high quality feeling deck of cards...oh and the artwork is pretty sick too.

  1. Love the idea, and the art looks really cool in color! I can't imagine how difficult it would be to print them so the art lines up between the cards. I guess the only issue I would have with the deck is actually playing with them, since you could memorize what image was behind each card and not really play games with them effectively.

    1. Truth on that one. This is definitely a one and done deck, which is part of the reason, as good as sales were over the weekend, it wasn't exactly what we were looking for, but the deck will be in some local comic shops and a few across the country. Hopefully that will help out! Definitely a fun one time playing deck.

  2. This was never intended to be a playable deck. It's a COMIC printed on playing cards instead of paper. It packs smaller and in laid out form is much larger and more visible than normal comics. It will also last much longer and can be displayed as art. It just made sense to do it this way since it's about magicians and card masters. People are LOVING this!

  3. Good call on that De'vo! I actually took a deck to a family event yesterday, we played Rummy with it and to great success! I have also had a series of people see it, look at it, and do exactly that. I have a friend at work who's buying a couple of decks for his father, who's a huge poker player and he is actually taking a deck and framing it like a poster.
