Battletoads-Pimple

I've ben reeling nostalgic this week. I have been watching old cartoons and finding old video games. I recently came across an article of the 10 hardest video games created and this one came up...BATTLETOADS! What an amazing game. You have to beat it in one sitting, there are no saves, and the levels take a LOT of memorization to beat. I think I took this game to the end once and only once, and lost....then I sold my NES and got a Sega Gensis...OH! Nostalgia.

Also, this weekend I'll be attending the Cutthroat gaming convention at the TIvoli Building in Denver on Saturday the 30th. I'll be in artist's alley selling my wares. COME VISIT!

Darkwing Duck

Let's get dangerous.

If there was a cartoon character I would choose to work on over any other it would be this one. He is, of course, a Batman rip off, but he gives such great potential for comedy, noir, drama and adventure. All in a completely unthreatening disney cartoon...how great is that?! By the way, you should definitely check out Boom Studio's Darkwing Duck Comic written by Ian Brill and drawn by James SIlvani. It's amazing.

A Writing and Art Forum

One of my brothers, Ron De'Anor, has put up a website that has a lot of his own writing and one of our other friend's work as well. They do a lot of writing and are looking for some artwork to go with it. If you see anything that inspires you, draw it, submit it and you'll have some free hosting! check it out: Tribal Sun Studios I have some of my VERY FIRST comic work up there: see it here: The Prophecy

The Avengers: Ink Test

So I found this amazing Cub Scout song book from 1955 that has some amazing inked drawing in it. They are completely brush and the artist (still trying to figure out who it is) is amazingly confident with the brush and just drops lines in the work like it's hot. It's impressive. Anyway, figured I'd try it on The Avengers in preparation for next summers movies...and I also did Wolverine.

Paradise Lost: Character Designs

I am working on an adaption of Paradise Lost by Milton for my thesis. I am translating it to a 1930s Noir comic. These three characters are Adam, Eve, and Satan. Though I am not telling you which is which. I am hoping the designs will do that for me. Who is who?!

Spider-Man Processes 4: Colors

The final Image of this piece...Color. This was done in photoshop with color fills for the highlights and the shadows. They are complimentary to each other, so the highlights are a desaturated yellow-orange and the shadows are a saturated blue-purple. This is the finished commissioned SpiderMan image.
