Comic Fest 2012

Hey all!  This card...the one above...is the entire presence I will have at Comic Fest this year....which is unfortunate mainly because of the guests that will be there.  There will be some amazing artists and some amazing industry insight.  AND...it's very very inexpensive to go.  $15 for the weekend.  visit http://starland.com/wp/comicfest/ for more info.

Grail Knights: Dr Evil Skull

This character is a character for a death metal band in Germany called the Grail Knights.  His mane is Dr. Evil Skull.  This project is a true testament to the necessity to have an online artistic and personality presence.  They found my website last summer and have finally commissioned me for some image....from half a world away!  I am going to be doing some images for them coming up here soon, so I figured I'd play with the colors of this character and the over all look of the character himself.  I believe the image is successful, the colors are ok.  Thoughts?

The Adventures of Toothy

The Adventures of Toothy is a comic strip that will hopefully be used by Comfort Dental on their facebook page and on the back of their new toothbrush.  Look for it!  And if you don't see it...we'll let's just say I agree with Toothy on this one!

More of An American Apocalypse: Cate

I gave myself a challenge on this image:  Don't use any containing lines what-so-ever.  This image was created entirely with black shapes on top of white shapes.  It was an exercise in composition and black and white placement.  I am a huge fan of Chris Samnee who does this type of drawing exquisitely!  So I wanted to give it a shot...not to bad for a first try!

Zombie Sam: We Want Your BRAINS!

This is a promotional piece for an upcoming independent graphic novel being written by a former State Legislator.  This is Uncle Top Hat, or Zombie Sam.  I thought it was an appropriate piece with the current primaries for a Republican nominee and the Florida debate tonight.  Also, this being an election year...
