I have had a couple of requests from some people to see the process I go through to my final pieces. I just happen to have those for my warriors. So here is my process from early silhouettes to values to final silhouettes.
These are a couple of drawings from model sessions. If you want the best way to get to know the human figure...GO DRAW IT!! Go to a coffee shop, sit down and draw the people in line, while you wait for a plane in the airport, pull out your pen and sharpie and go at it! Another 90 minute sketch challenge. As artists we take these challenges to practice practice practice so our instincts for design, detail, and aesthetic become more mature...I am still working on mine. Anyway, here's Man-Thing
So, Marvel Comics is reinventing their Black Panther into the American Panther for the Fear Itself crossover happening RIGHT NOW! A series of us at SCAD Atlanta decided to do our Americanized version of other heroes and villains. Mine is a remake of The Russian Weapon Omega Red.
