Geneva Glen Young Alumni Beer Festival: Year 3!
As you can read on the two labels, these are inspired by the music of Geneva Glen. The name comes from the Banjo Man, as he's been labeled at Geneva Glen, and one of the fan favorite songs. The Geneva Glen Young Alumni group does this every year and these labels are always a blast to do. With this being the third year of the contest, I feel like I am finally finding the look, feeling, and idea of this contest. I had a great time working with Marty "the Party" Galloway this year and I can't wait to give these amazing brews a taste. Enjoy the labels! You can see the other labels, from previous years and this one, at the Geneva Glen Young Alumni Group Facebook page: https://www.facebook.com/GGYoungAlumni

SINISTER!!!
Here is the pin-up for Fort Collins Comic Con this weekend: Mr. Sinister and the Marauders. This was a fun experiment for me in colors and palettes. This was inspired by the greens used in many David Fincher movies, such as Fight Club and Zodiac. The palette gives a sense of sickness. Just like in Fincher's movies there is a sense of something very wrong here. I hope that is portrayed in this image.
As for Fort Collins Comic Con, I will be there all day. I am also presenting my thesis from my time at SCAD, Comic Books in the Classroom: Using Comics for All ages Literacy. The panel and presentation starts at 10am.

Book Illustration Commission
Doing some book illustration. It's kind of cool to get work the day or two after dropping business cards off at a local comic shop. This has been a very fun project so far. It was great getting back into pencil illustration. More to come, hopefully. Will know more soon.
Speaking of which, I will be appearing at the NEW Fort Collins Comic Con on September 12! At the North Aztlan Community Center in Fort Collins, CO. I will have three new prints, and will open a commission list soon! STAY TUNED FOR DETAILS!!!!!!!!

World Card Experts and Cardistry
I have to thank De'vo for this opportunity. I have been blessed with the opportunity to design some amazing decks, including Magicians Must Die with him. This deck, by far, has to be my favorite that isn't MMD. The design is killer, it looks amazing in motion (check out this video: Bicycle Cardistry in Motion, and the tuck is covered in foil and looks fantastic!!! This deck will be available on Sunday for VIP members of the World Card Experts' website and probably not for long, most of De'vo's decks sell out within hours, and I don't believe this is going to be an exception. Enjoy!

New Prints! and New Appearences!
Hi! I am going to be doing two new 11x17 prints for future shows. These are the two. I have put up the Groot before, but I am now making it an official print.
The Harley and Ivy is in celebration of the new decision by the Supreme Court to allow Marriage of all kinds in all states. There is no more discrimination just because you want to marry the person you love. A same sex partner now gets the same benefits in hospitals, healthcare, taxation, etc...that any other married couple gets. It's a MAJOR win for the USA and for the equal rights of ALL citizens! Congratulations USA!
If you would like to purchase either of these prints, please contact me via facebook messaging, Twitter PM, or gmail. I will also be at the Fort Collins Comic Convention on September 12th, and the Rocky Mountain Comic Con November 6 and 7. Hope to see you all there, and thank you for the support!

The Atomic Agnostic aka- The Exploding Man
I would like you all to meet the Atomic Agnostic. This is a story that has been in my head for a while, and I am working on a little preview story. I am still working out the details of the story, and of the character, but I have always had this idea and I am starting to move forward with it. Tell me what you think of this!

Denver Comic Con 2015 Review...kind of
Holy amazeballs! What a convention. Well, Denver Comic Conventions 2015 has wrapped up, and after about a week of recovery...I am STILL recovering. It was an amazing weekend with amazing people, an amazing staff, volunteers, attendees, panels, panelists, artists, vendors, celebrities, etc... I am still on cloud nine from the weekend.
For those of you that didn't know, I was selected to do the badge art for this year's Denver Comic Con. It was a huge boost to the profile that I have in the local industry, and in the industry in general. There were 101,500 people wandering around Colorado Convention Center last weekend with my art hanging around their necks. I can't believe it.
The show was great for me, I was busy all weekend meeting people, shaking hands, signing badges, and selling badge related artwork. I had trading cards, postcards, metal postcards, and the original inks framed with a metal print. (I do still have a LOT of all of those left, so if you want any email me at jpeteranetz(at)gmail(dot)com
My plan is to talk more about my reactions to the weekend, the internet's reaction to the weekend, and if you want some of my thoughts, check out my facebook page: www.facebook.com/jpeteranetz

TARDIS Denver Comic Con Badges Day 11: The final Badge
TARDIS, the staple of Geekdom over the past 50 years. Appropriate to end with for two reasons. Number 1: This is one of the most iconic items Geeks know and others don't. Secondly, this weekend is going to feel like a whirlwind of time travel and excitement and it will be over too quickly. This is the Monday Attendee badge.
I want to thank the Denver Comic Con and Pop Culture Classroom team for letting me do the badges this year after 4 years of asking (now I will stop nagging, you're welcome). They have been supportive, helpful, and amazing to work with! SEE YOU AT THE COLORADO CONVENTION CENTER TOMORROW!!!
The artwork was done solely by me (concept to completion). I want to extend an invitation to the all the attendees to come visit me at booth 324 in merchant's mesa and get your badge signed. I will have the original ink drawing of this badge framed and available that weekend with a one or eight hand printed and signed metal prints of the final image. I will also have metal hand printed metal badges (eight total). I will have 44 postcard size "polaroids" available (see my twitter feed @jpeteranetz for more on those). And I will have trading card size images of each in packs of 5. There will be special chase cards printed on silver, gold, and (if it works out) black foil card stock, and I will have sketch cards randomly inserted.
I look forward to seeing you all at Denver Comic Con Booth 324! May 23-25!!
I will be posting one design daily from now until Denver Comic Con. And they will post as I see them available online.

Green Arrow! Denver Comic Con Badges Day 10
TV's Green Arrow has been garnering a lot of positive reviews since it started. I believe DC has done some of the best TV series over the past decade. Their movies leave a little something to be desired, but that is OK. This is the badge for the Monday Volunteers and Programming.
